The Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Cross-Training Program
The program consists of setting up and evaluating a cross-training experience for practitioners working with people at risk or with dual mental health and substance use disorders. These sessions can take the form of workshop exchanges, where workers from different environments are brought together to discuss clinical cases.
The objectives of the program are:
- To identify the training needs of practitioners working with at-risk clients or those suffering from concurrent disorders.
- To allow these workers to acquire a better knowledge of the way the clientele functions and of the interventions specific to the different resources involved by means of staff rotations (observation periods) and exchange sessions.
